A lot has happened since I last updated this site. Belle has ACL surgery on her left hind leg in March 2009. In May of 2009, she had surgery on the right hind leg for the same injury! We have been in recuperation mode for the last 10 weeks. We have 6 more to go.

Mark was diagnosed with Renal Disease, and he is now on dialysis. We are struggling through that.

People around me seem to be having a lot of health and family issues. It is tough to see so many people suffering. No one seems immune to the chaos of life. I guess all we can do is deal with life one day at a time.

I have also started two blogs. One is called The Daily Dialysis. It deals with our struggles of living with Renal Disease.

The second blog is more of my own personal online diary. You can view it by sending me an email to request a link.

By now most of you know exactly  what kind of dog a goldendoodle is, but for those who don't....

The Goldendoodle is a cross between a Golden Retriever and the Poodle. They are hybrid dogs that normally take on the best traits of the two unrelated purebreds. The Goldendoodle will acquire a coat that looks retriever-like, or poodle-like, but typically somewhat in-between. These hybrid crosses are friendly, intelligent and make terrific family dogs. The Goldendoodle was bred to produce a very low shedding assistant dog for challenged individuals who need such a dog, but who suffer from allergies to shedding hair or have other problems with excessive shedding. A Goldendoodle is a loving, loyal dog and has a keen sense of smell. They can be taught to enjoy swimming, as both the retriever and Poodle parts of their ancestry normally enjoy water. Goldendoodles are easily trained, highly social, and by nature are easy with strangers and other dogs. They love to play, and retain the strong retrieving instincts of the Golden Retriever, and love fetching sticks, balls and Frisbees.

There are some causes that I personally think are worthwhile. I proudly support the following:
