July 30, 2008 - The importance being connected to your network

A lesson learned today! And of course, no lesson is EVER learned the easy way! I lost some files today that I was working on. How could this happen? It was simple. I made changes to several web pages, uploaded them to the server, and I find that I was not connected to my network. Therefore, I overwrote some files. One of those files was this page. Oh well, no harm, no foul. At least I didn't lose anything for a client that cannot be easily fixed!

I did have some good articles up on this page that are now gone. Losing those entries just makes me realize the importance of backing up data every day, making sure you are actually connected to the network, and also making sure you really want to overwrite files!

Anyway, a quiet day today at work. Nothing special to talk about. Quiet is good. :-)

Well, it is getting closer to the weekend. It is almost so close that I can reach out and grab it! Not sure what we have planned for this weekend, but what ever we do, it is also fun since Mark and I spend it together! Tonight I am hoping to exercise on the treadmill. Of course I say this EVERY night, and I am lucky to get on that thing once a week! It is the thought that counts, right? :-)

Got on the scale this morning!! It was my friend!! I lost 2.6 pounds this week!! I guess all of the healthy eating paid off!!

What a wonderful time we had on our friend’s new boat!! It was truly beautiful!! We watched the Beachwood Fireworks from the Toms River, and we had a buffet of food, including BBQ Hamburgers and Hotdogs!! We were so honored to be included in the “select few” of their friends who were invited!!

Well, the month of June is rolling to a close. It sees like the years are just flying by! I had a busy weekend, got a new client, and just did not have the time (or energy) required to put up some new pics. Maybe with the long weekend coming, I can get some new pictures and text up on this site. Although with the holiday weekend, you just never know!

Well, I finally did it, I updated this website!! I had been meaning to do it for quite a while, but time has been at a premium for me! The big thing will be trying to keep it current. My schedule is always tough and busy, so we will see how it goes for me.

I want to add more Photo Galleries to this site. I would like to add some more of Belle (Yes, two years later, I am still obsessed with my furry friend), and I would like to put up a Gallery of pictures of Mark and me. We have been together for a long time now, and I have never put pics of us on my website!

Mark bought me a video camera that I want to practice using. It is really nice! It takes still photos as well as video. It runs on an SD card so the whole unit is quite small! It would be a great thing to use when we take a vacation. But in the mean time, I will try taking video of Belle and putting it on this website.
