Welcome!

C'mon in... Visit for a while...

So why did I decide to create this website? To be honest, I am not completely sure. I had visions of updating it regularly, adding photo galleries of my family, and making it interactive. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The updates came infrequently and life moved too quickly to keep things updated!

To keep friends and family (and interested parties), I then created a blog! I created a blog about the Struggles with Mark's End Stage Renal Disease. That blog turned out relatively successful and has been getting quite a few visitors a month!

Since The Daily Dialysis blog was doing so well, I decided to create a second blog. I entitled it, "In a Purple World. It has no particular theme, but it simply my babblings of anything that comes to mind that inspires me to write. As many of my friends know, I always wanted to be a writer. It never came to fruition for any number of reasons. I was never motivated enough... or I was afraid of failure... or I didn't want it bad enough... or I was just too lazy to write something that people would actually want to read!

By now most of you know exactly  about the Goldendoodle since Belle has been a HUGE part of my life for years now... but for those who don't....

The Goldendoodle is a cross between a Golden Retriever and the Poodle. They are hybrid dogs that normally take on the best traits of the two unrelated purebreds. The Goldendoodle will acquire a coat that looks retriever-like, or poodle-like, but typically somewhat in-between. These hybrid crosses are friendly, intelligent and make terrific family dogs. The Goldendoodle was bred to produce a very low shedding assistant dog for challenged individuals who need such a dog, but who suffer from allergies to shedding hair or have other problems with excessive shedding. A Goldendoodle is a loving, loyal dog and has a keen sense of smell. They can be taught to enjoy swimming, as both the retriever and Poodle parts of their ancestry normally enjoy water. Goldendoodles are easily trained, highly social, and by nature are easy with strangers and other dogs. They love to play, and retain the strong retrieving instincts of the Golden Retriever, and love fetching sticks, balls and Frisbees.

Did I happen to mention that they are lovable, cute, sweet, snuggly, and big ole mushy furballs?
